About

Brutal Assault started in 1996 and now takes place each August in the Josefov fortress, an 18th-century military fortress near Jaroměř in the Czech Republic.

The music is extreme metal and hardcore of every kind, from death and black metal to post-metal and grind. The fortress setting, with bastions, tunnels and moats, makes it unlike any other metal festival.
