About
Beat-Herder started in 2006 in the Ribble Valley, on farmland near Sawley in Lancashire, on the edge of the Forest of Bowland. It's an independent festival run by local people, held in mid-July.
It's famous for its home-made stages and set pieces, built by the crew with a lot of imagination. Music covers breakbeat, dub, reggae, techno, house, drum and bass, folk and punk. The crowd is up for it and the parties run late.
