  1. Shame you cut them off at 11pm on the dot without even a chance to say a couple of words at the end.

  2. So why stop them? Such a rare opportunity to see The The was my reason for coming to the festival. Soaringly beautiful set and an utter anti-climax when you pulled them.

  3. Pulled the plug on at 11 then shite dance music till 3 in the morning . Have a word !!

  4. Completely ridiculous treatment of Matt Johnson and The The not even letting him explain to crowd what was going on. He was the reason I bought tickets to come.
Symptomatic of whole festival when dance music ridiculously loud from House of Rum interferes sonically with every band on No.6 stage.

  5. The one reason I would of been tempted to return to festival no6 after the fiasco of a couple of years back (the well documented car park on a flood plain episode)
Looks like FN6 ballsed it up again.. sorry to hear so many disappointed fans and glad I got to see them in Brixton earlier in the summer

  6. That unforgettable moment when you cut them off before an unforgettable finale?🙄

  7. Never forget this moment. Finally got to see The The live. A dream come true but didn’t perform Uncertain Smile due to pulling the plug. 🌧🌧🌧

  8. Shameful treatment of The The and the audience – unforgettable for all the wrong reasons Festival Number 6

  9. Fuckin disgraceful cutting The The off 10 minuets before time. Where’s my refund?! Tossers

  10. Nick Hayes says:

I thought the festival as a whole was a let down. It should come as no surprise to the organisers that the stand up comedy is a big draw, yet it’s put on in a tiny marquee?? It had the feel of a festival that has had its day and was just going through the motions.

  11. Gill Kirby what a night 🍺🍷🕺🏽💃🏼

  12. Amazing opportunity to see them.Their set, the setting, the rain and being able to stand at the front, unforgettable 🙂 Big thank you festival no 6 x

  13. Why did they cut them off early??

  14. Glad I saw them in Birmingham on Friday night as they were amazing from start to finish, including an incredible Uncertain Smile performance

  15. Steve Kerr says:

What a fantastic set. My last The The concert was 29 years ago so I made sure I got right to the front. Matt did have a sneaky chat with each member of the band before they played their last song. I think that was an extra song he put in which unfortunately put them over. Was gutted to miss Uncertain Smile as a finale and totally agree that it is weird to allow crap dance music to continue at a pretty loud volume in the dance tent until 3, yet stop main stage at 11. It was a Saturday as well so not going to affect anyones sleep before a workday! Thoroughly enjoyed the show though and Inertia Variations earlier in the day plus the great interview with R6M announcing a release date of 2019 for a new album made a great day overall.
