romped through an impassioned set at Glastonbury’s Bimble Inn we chatted to Jay ‘Beans on Toast’ McAllister about how he’d shared a bill with members of the band in a Penge beer garden back in 2007 at a gig we’d been promoting under the inspired name of ‘Stoned Penge’.Whether Sleaze will follow Jay onto the Pyramid stage (where he presented the annual CND address this year) is debatable, but it was certainly great to have them both in the same tent at the same time to remind us all that grass roots gigs are the lifeblood of live music.
