FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS: Tami Neilson It's a Man's World at 2019 Philly Folk Fest

Festivals and gigs. A listings calendar, plus previews, news, reviews, and photos

One of the TOP “highlights” at this year’s Philly Folk Fest was this amazing performance by New Zealand singer Tami Neilson of the James Brown classic. It was so powerful that the two other women sharing the stage (Wallis Bird and Amanda Shires said that, even though there was time for one more song each, they couldn’t top this performance. You’ll see (and hear) why.

This is one of the great performances I captured at The 58th Philadelphia Folk Festival (the longest continuing folk festival in the US!) held on August 16th -18th in Schwenksville, PA. See the playlist for others

Greg. I just started to upload my videos and edit my photos. Tami's performance was so amazing I put up right away. Tomorrow I will add a lot more and maybe more on Wednesday. This takes time. If you subscribe to the channel you should should get an alert as videos are added. Thanks for your patience.

  2. Where's the playlist? Or are you referring to prior years?

  3. I didn't get to it, Steve, thank you so much for passing this along. I believe we will hear the question, "Did you hear Tami Neilson?" for years…
