About Shri Ajinkya Joshi
Shri Ajinkya Joshi is a talented and established Tabla player of the younger generation of Indian Classical Music. He started his initial training at a tender age of 7 from Pt. Shantilal Shah. His parents, through their passion for music inspired him to take Tabla as a profession. At the age of 16, he moved to Mumbai and underwent intensive training with Taal-Yogi Padmashree Pt. Suresh Talwalkar in the Guru-Shishya Parampara tradition.

Exceptionally sweet tonal quality, perfect balance between Daaya-Bayan, clarity of compositions in Tabla solo and the precise Vajan of his strokes are some highlights of his playing. He possesses a highly disciplined sound technique.

Ajinkya is the recipient of Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Award – 1999. He has been Awarded the National Scholarship for young artistes by Government of India. Ajinkya has accompanied various artistes from all strings of the Indian Classical Music such as Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt. Ronu Majumdar, Smt.Shama Bhate, Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar, Smt. Arati Anklikar, Smt. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande and a galaxy of others.

Ajinkya has performed in major Classical Festivals in India such as Sawai Gandharva Festival – Pune and Harivallabh Sangeet Samaroh – Jalandhar. He has performed Tabla Solo in the biggest classical music festival in the world, The Bengal Classical Music Festival – Dhaka. He has toured the world for performances including U.S.A., Canada, Switzerland, Dubai, Hong Kong and England.

About Shri Abhishek Shinkar
Abhishek Shinkar comes from a family of music lovers and connoisseurs. He started learning music at an early age. He took primary lessons from Shri Shankar Mahajan for 8 years. He continued his training for vocal and harmonium under the guidance of Pt. Nathrao Neralkar at Aurangabad for 5 years under Gurushishya Parampara. Post that, he has been taking formal lessons for harmonium under the tutelage of Pt. Pramod Marathe at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune under Gurushishya Parampara from past 5 years. He is also fortunate to have received guidance from Taalyogi Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.

Abhishek has accompanied several artistes of great repertoire like Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, Pt. Nathrao Neralkar, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar, Pt. Vijay Ghate, Pt. Yogesh Samsi etc at various prestigious events and has also performed Harmonium solo concerts at various occasions, like NCPA Mumbai, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya etc.

Abhishek has completed his Masters in Harmonium and is also a visharad in Harmonium and vocal.

Abhishek has performed in prestigious festivals like Swarzankar festival-Pune, Tansen Sangeet Samaroh-Gwalior, Sangeet Natak Akademi Festival-India, Baba Harivailabh Samaroh-Jalandhar etc.

Abhishek is a recipient of several awards and scholarships like Pt. Vishnu Digamber Paluskar Scholarship from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya-Pune, Scholarship from Ministry of Culture-India.
