Krankenhaus is a one of a kind micro festival (1,000 capacity) featuring the best in left-field independent music, talks, guided walks, Bird of Prey Displays, all set at Muncaster Castle which overlooks the river Esk, with views out to Scafell Pike and the Western Coastline, looking out to the Isle of Man.
The festival has easy access to both the coast and the majestic lakes and fells of the Western Lake District. The castle is set a short journey from Lakeland peaks such as Scafell Pike. The Ravenglass & Eskdale steam railway and the Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s Eskmeals Dunes reserve are a short distance away. The nearest mainline rail station is in Ravenglass.
