First edition of Zarandeo flamenco festival for children in Norway.
A space for young talents to learn, create and participate open to all children regardless their origin. A space for coexistence between Spanish-speaking cultures and Norwegian culture in Norway.
We present the younger generation of fabulous artists all world class from Spain and the Nordic countries.
This is an event where children get to experience the colorful and energetic flamenco dancing for real!
Through intricate rhythms and fast melodies, beautiful guitar and lovely singing, the children get to see and listen to the distinctive expression of flamenco music and dance. Stepping, guitar, palmas and vocals are central, in addition to shawls and fans.
Zarandeo is a word in Spanish that means to move something or someone from one place to another with speed and energy, just as it happens in flamenco.
Directed by Bellali Austria (Oslo International Flamenco Festival), in collaboration with Samspill International Music Network.
