We are also welcoming singer-songwriter Arlo Parks, INIKO, ANCHOR Winner 2022 Cassia, German-Iranian stand-up artists and activist Enissa Amani, singer and songwriter AY Young as well as multi-award-winning climate activist Mari Copeny. Our ANCHOR Jury of BANKS, Tayla Parx, Katie Melua and Tony Visconti, will introduce the six nominated artists and artists of this year’s ANCHOR Award.
The opening show is presented by Hadnet Tesfai.
One big question floating in the air at this year’s event is: What’s next? How does the future of the music industry look, and how can we shape it in a healthy and sustainable way? The music industry is not alone in facing this task – most other sectors of the economy are affected. As a result, multiple challenges like attracting young talent, generational change, mental health, rapidly advancing technological development and social ecological responsibility and sustainability have preoccupied society as a whole for quite some time.
With Reeperbahn Festival, we create the most important european platform for pop culture and international (music) talents.
Reeperbahn Festival is the biggest club festival in Europe and the largest European platform for international pop culture and the music industry. Since 2006, for four days each September the Reeperbahn in Hamburg, Germany has become the center of the international music world and a sustainable interface between artists, the public, industry representatives and society. The Conference program is aimed at professional visitors from all segments of the music industry from around the world.
The Reeperbahn Festival takes place under the sign of togetherness – racism, sexism, homophobia and exclusion have no place with us.
