Gaijatra is very poular festival in Nepal, specially in Kathmandu. The festival commemorates the death of people during the year. The participates walk through the streets leading cow or small children representing cow. It is popular as cow festival. Modern Gai jatra is a mixture of humour and traditional values. People come to the street wearing funny dresses, mask and make up.
