FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS: Highlights from the Speak Music "Be Kind" Festival, Sunday Jan 19th, 2020

Festivals and gigs. A listings calendar, plus previews, news, reviews, and photos

I got a chance to check out the Speak Music “Be Kind” festival last month. It’s a charity affair with the net profits going to a different worthy cause each year.

The event, organized by Bev Kreller and Howard Druckman, was a three day affair and featured performances from across the musical spectrum.

I managed to get down on the third day of the festival and was thoroughly entertained by the talent assembled. The workshop performances in the smaller Tranzac rooms allowed for an intimate and up close view of the performers.

This festival can only get better. I’m already looking forward to next year’s version.

Musicians on this reel includes: The Dirty Dishes, Al Parrish, The Barrel Boys, Kim Doolittle, Julian Taylor, The Moonfruits, Tragedy Ann, The Broom Straws, So Long Seven, Arlene Bishop and Minuscule.
