2019 has been an exciting year for CAL. But what does it mean for our beneficiaries?
Take a look back on 2019 from the perspective of a caregiver. Let Zalifah, a caregiver and volunteer-turned-staff with CAL, bring you through some of the highlights of last year as she recounts her story with the organisation.
With new services being rolled out; two major fundraising events with President Halimah Yacob and Senior Minister of State for Law and Health Mr Edwin Tong as honorary guests; a caregivers conference that saw more than 200 participants, and a series of fresh engagement activities, Zalifah describes CAL’s journey together with caregivers of persons with mental health issues. The year was nicely wrapped up with CAL being awarded the Charity Governance Awards 2019, a prestigious award that recognises the highest standards of governance in a charity.
