The 2004 Ashkenaz Festival took place August 31 to Sept 6, 2004 at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre and other local venues. Featured artists included The Klezmatics, Mikveh, The Three Yiddish Divas (Adrienne Cooper, Joanne Borts, Theresa Tova), Khupe, Ot Azoj, Klezmer en Buenos Aires, Zalmen Mlotek, Steven Greenman’s “Stempenyu’s Dream,” The Flying Bulgars, Beyond the Pale, Hu Tsa Tsa, North End Klezmer Project, Shtreiml, Collected Stories Project (Brian Katz and Martin van de Ven), Manouche, Jeszcze Raz, Decadent Berlin Revue, The Jewish Radio Hour, and many more.
