インドネシアの首都ジャカルタで毎年行われている日本の祭り「縁日祭」。世界最大規模の日本祭りとして知られ2日間の開催で約30万人が集まる。 梵天は祭りの花形となるメインステージに2016年より出演し 翌年2017年から2019年まで3年連続でステージのトリを務めている。 梵天の祭り出演をきっかけに現地には和太鼓チームが結成され楽譜や太鼓を提供し、時には現地に赴いて和太鼓コミュニティの育成も手がけている。 さらにインドネシア各地に出向き和太鼓を通じた文化交流を行っている。
The annual Japanese festival “Ennichisai” in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. In two days, about 300,000 people gather at this world’s largest Japanese festival. Bonten first appeared on the main stage, the center of the festival in 2016, and for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019, performed as the highlights of the main stage. Bonten’s performance inspired the locals to form their own taiko team. Bonten provides them with sheet music and taiko drums, and sometimes flies over there to help develop the local taiko community. Bonten also travels various parts of Indonesia to promote cultural exchange through taiko drumming.
