August – Cropredy, Oxfordshire
Fairport Convention’s annual summer party – Cropredy!
Originally formed when the founding fathers of British folk-rock, Fairport Convention, decided to call it a day in 1979 and then get together for a reunion in 1980, Fairport’s Cropredy Convention (more commonly known as the Cropredy Festival) is now in its 36th year.
This family-friendly weekend has grown from an audience of a few friends and villagers to a capacity of 20k covering 200 acres of rolling Oxfordshire countryside.
Cropredy caters for all music tastes while at the same time acknowledges Fairport’s folk and folk-rock influences.
