Maid of Stone has the feel of a rock weekender that actually remembers the “festival‚Äù bit: relaxed parkland by day, proper volume by night. Set in Maidstone’s Mote Park, it’s a three-day, two-stage celebration designed by rock fans for rock fans, built around a simple rule: if it rocks, it’s welcome.
The main stage brings the heavyweight moments, while the second stage is where tomorrow’s headliners get their shot. Expect hard rock, melodic rock, blues-rock, southern rock and heavier edges all sharing the same sunburnt (or rain-jacketed) dancefloor. The festival’s 2026 line-up pages already hint at the breadth, from big-name firepower like Black Stone Cherry to country-leaning grit (A Thousand Horses), glam-leaning punch (Chez Kane), and homegrown UK noise-makers like Anchor Lane and Blue Nation.
It’s the kind of bill where you can plan your “must-sees‚Äù and still stumble into a new favourite while queuing for chips.Maid of Stone returns 17-19 July 2026, with campers able to get on site earlier and long opening hours that let you do the full arc of the day: early-afternoon discoveries, golden-hour singalongs, and a last band that sends you back to the campsite with your ears buzzing. If you want a festival that’s heavy without being hostile, and friendly without being bland, this one hits the sweet spot.
Bring mates, bring earplugs, bring curiosity. Expect big choruses, good chat, and that shared grin when the riff lands. Tickets, timings and the latest updates: maidofstonefestival.com.
