Set against the windswept beauty of Cornwall’s Stithians Showground, Fisherman’s Friends Festival 2026 unfurls as a heartfelt celebration of sea-shanty spirit and Celtic-folk camaraderie across a long May weekend. The inaugural programme delivers a rich tapestry of sound with two main stages brimming with acts who echo the salt-air legacy of the festival’s founders, the beloved Fisherman’s Friends.
Saturday’s Main Stage welcomes musical leviathans like Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, spirited Cornish wordsmith Kernow King, roots-rich singer-songsmith Seth Lakeman, trad icon Sharon Shannon, nautical-enthused The Longest Johns and the local favourite Porthleven Town Band — all joined for a rollicking Fisherman’s Friends & Friends set.
Sunday casts anchors with the Fisherman’s Friends themselves, alongside folk stalwart Kate Rusby, comedic turn Johnny Cowling, Highlanders Skipinnish, the raucous Peat & Diesel, and rollicking sets from The Oggymen and Splann Ceilidh Band. Beyond the main stages, intimate bandstand sessions, family-friendly performances and sea-themed interactive fun knit together a weekend that’s as much about community and Cornish pride as it is about music.https://www.fishermansfriendsfestival.co.uk/
