On the opening night of the festival, award-winning vocalist Jacqui Dankworth and acclaimed American pianist-vocalist Charlie Wood team up for a husband & wife concert celebrating a century of song.

Featuring their own original compositions, both old and new (including one or two penned during lockdown & being performed for the very first time at EJBF 2021), along with duet arrangements inspired by musical partnerships like Ray Charles and Betty Carter, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway, James Taylor and Carole King, and others.
