How can someone so young have such command of the classic swinging jazz repertoire and sing so naturally and authoritatively on Cole Porter tunes, blues, bossa, and then switch to trombone and play with extraordinary passion and facility?!
Rita Payés, only 20 years old, is the young swinging Spanish singer and trombonist who is turning heads wherever she goes. She’s already played with Scott Hamilton and Jimmy Cobb, and here she is, for the first time in Scotland, with the hottest swinging Trio in the land, fronted by Brian Kellock. In the video below, she is only 14 yrs old (!!) – just incredible!
