It was great to attend the launch of the Scottish Jazz Archive last night at the Traverse Theatre!

The aim of this amazing project – led by Scotland’s Sound & Edinburgh Napier University – is to establish a publicly accessible archive of details, photos, film, sound, recordings and other materials relevant to both historical and current jazz Scottish scene.

Its success highly depends on the involvement of the Scottish jazz community (musicians, audiences, venues, promoters..). So, how can you contribute to it?

You can get involved by donating memorabilia (can be anything: from tickets from past concerts, to old recordings or brochures/flyers/posters, photos, etc.); by joining a local group that will help collating materials from various regions in Scotland; and by helping spreading the word about the project (i.e. share this post).
