Peter RICHARDS ‘Geordie Pete’ of Cropredy.
Pete passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home on 6th September 2022, aged 59 years.
He was the much loved Dad of Alfie and a dear friend to so many and will be greatly missed.
Pete will be remembered fondly for his involvement with The Cropredy Festival on the main gate welcoming guests and attendees each year. In more recent years Pete was very involved with The Cropredy Fringe by arranging all the acts for The Brasenose each year.
Pete was also a loyal supporter and friend to Fairport Convention and the many artists related to Fairport and the festival.
Pete’s funeral service has been arranged to take place at Banbury Crematorium on Friday 7th October at 3.00pm.
There will be an chance to make a donation in Pete’s memory at his funeral service, by post c/o: Edd Frost & Daughters Family Funeral Directors, 14 Canada Close, Banbury OX16 2RT or via his crowd fund page which has been set up at: www.https://gofund.me/6e5fa496
We are aware that Pete was very much loved locally and across the country and the crematorium capacity is limited. Should anyone wish to watch the service via live stream please contact office@eddfrostanddaughters.co.uk and a login can be provided.
Requests for logins through Facebook will not be responded to.
There will also be a further chance to celebrate Pete’s life at The Brasenose in Cropredy following the service. A place very dear to Pete and one of the places he worked.
The Brasenose will be open from 4.00pm and no earlier due to many of the staff wishing to attend the funeral service.
Can we please ask that this notice be shared in the usual manner in order to inform as many people as possible of Pete’s recent passing, how to make donations in his memory and of course his forthcoming funeral arrangements.
