I met Dave Peg and Dave Swarbrick when Swarwbrick lived in Byfield. I was around 14 and hung around the older guys in Byfield. It was a Sunday night and late, they were sat by the war memorial opposite Swarbricks house. DS had a fat cigar and a whisky on the go. Went back to DS’s house for an impromptu session. Totally unforgettable. Went to Cropredy that year for the first time and went for many years after that. Absolutely loved it every time. Those were the days.

Wonder if it mentions the Dylan Project gig at Bedales School in Petersfield? Their theatre was designed like a giant Swiss chalet & you couldn’t really see the two doors at the back of the stage. PJ leaned back & the door flew open landing PJ on his back. To give him his due he did get up & carry on as if nothing had happened
what another excellent read, sadly i wont be there but im sure to read in the future, something wonderful and lovely to add to my reading list must haves! Such a gentleman, who at gigs has always made time for the fans and said hello either in the beer queue at croppers or after the show to the fans
Funny….many years ago I suggested an autobiography to Peggy, and he scoffed at the idea….glad to see he came around, can’t wait to read it….!!
