Camp Bestival Dorset Unveils Day Tickets for 2025 “Festi-Holiday” Amid Staycation Boom

Festivals and gigs. A listings calendar, plus previews, news, reviews, and photos

Lulworth Castle, Dorset

With a new survey revealing that eight in ten Brits are planning a staycation this year, Camp Bestival presented by Debenhams is perfectly poised to capture the family holiday market with Day Tickets now available for its 2025 event. Billed as the ultimate “Festi-Holiday,” the festival combines the thrill of a music festival with the convenience and value of a UK camping trip.

Taking place from July 31st to August 3rd, 2025, at the picturesque Lulworth Castle in Dorset, one of the UK’s sunniest counties, Camp Bestival offers a compelling alternative to overseas travel, sidestepping airport queues and ferry delays.

A Festival Built for Families

Created by families for families, Camp Bestival is the brainchild of Rob and Josie da Bank, who, along with their children, are intricately involved in bringing the event to life each year. This ethos shines through in its diverse offerings, designed to appeal to all generations – from toddlers to grandparents. The festival aims to encourage families to disconnect from screens and reconnect through shared experiences, music, creative activities, and outdoor play. New for 2025, the festival is also introducing a focus on family wellbeing.

Star-Studded Lineup and Beyond

The 2025 lineup boasts an impressive array of musical talent, including debut headline performances from Sir Tom Jones and Sugababes, alongside a full live show from electronic music duo Basement Jaxx. Other notable acts include Lightning Seeds, The Zutons, DJ Annie Mac, Goldie, and Dawn Penn.

Beyond the main stage, families can look forward to appearances from TV personalities like Josie Gibson, children’s entertainers such as Mr Tumble and Mister Maker, and classic family favourites like Horrible Histories and Dick and Dom.

More Than Music: New Experiences for 2025

Camp Bestival 2025 is packed with new and returning attractions designed to enhance the “Festi-Holiday” experience:

* World’s Biggest Pyjama Party: On Saturday, August 2nd, families are invited to don their PJs for a special back-to-back DJ set from Rob da Bank and rugby legend Joe Marler.

* Slomo Wellbeing Festival: A brand-new “festival-within-a-festival” curated by Josie and Rob da Bank, Slomo offers a unique approach to family wellbeing with activities like breathwork, meditation, yoga, and contrast therapy. A new Slomo Reset Retreat provides a bookable escape for relaxation.

* The Library: Returning as a hub for authors, talks, and podcasts, featuring live recordings of “The Teen Commandments” with Sara Cox and Clare Hamilton, and “There, I Said It…” with Rossi Woods and The Female Wife.

* New Activities: Camp Bestival welcomes Blippi for his first UK festival appearance, along with Big Manny for science experiments. Other additions include Tinkertown (building with recycled pallets), new sporting activities (netball, parkour, family darts), The Earth Crust’s Bread School, a revamped Caravan World (Caravan Karaoke, Secret Disco), and enhanced Fashion & Textile World and Art Town creative hubs. Look out for new pop-up shows and the “Insecurity Guards” who help banish worries.
