Bearded TheoryÂ’’s Spring Gathering is DerbyshireÂ’’s award-winning family-friendly festival and it has just announcd formally that it will return in 2019 for its 12th successive (and usually successful) year.
Now settled firmly in the iconic location of Catton Park the festival is nestled in the beautiful National Forest, and will once again take place over the late May Bank Holiday weekend of Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th May 2019.
All tickets will go on sale on Saturday 15th September.
The first 1,500 adult weekend camping tickets will be priced at a special ‘early-bird’ rate of just £105, with the remainder going on sale immediately afterwards for just £122.50.
Once again, all children 5 years and younger can attend the festival for free.
There are heavily discounted tickets available for older children and teens, and a monthly payment plan is also available (whilst stocks last) until December 30th 2018 –

The festival organisers have also revealed a raft of changes that will improve the festivalÂ’’s traffic management procedures.
Most notably, the festival has appointed CTM – the UK`s biggest and most respected parking and traffic management company to oversee all vehicle and traffic management.
In order to reduce the congestion experience on the roads this year, festival gates will open on Thursday from 9am and will remain open until 9pm. The number of campervan and caravan tickets has been reduced in number, and all spaces will be marked out in advance.
The Police will be ensuring that traffic flows are maintained, and will be actively enforcing a strict ‘no waiting zone’ in the vicinity.
Live music will not take place on the main stages on Thursday evening, however various other areas, stalls and bars will be open from later in the afternoon.
Organisers have promised that: “The Bearded Theory booking team are hard at work securing some of the best live acts on the planet to perform at BT2019, and the first announcement of acts is expected later this autumn.“
Michael Eccleshall, Bearded Theory spokesperson says,
““2018 was an exceptional year for everyone involved in Bearded Theory Festival. To welcome the likes of Robert Plant, Jimmy Cliff and hundreds more to our Spring Gathering – which started out as a stage in a pub garden made out of pallets a few miles up the road – was just mind blowing! We are incredibly proud of the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from both fans and the media for this yearÂ’s event, however we are never complacent. There is no doubt that we have our work cut out to make 2019 even better – but myself and the entire Bearded Theory crew have complete confidence that BT2019 will deliver the best experience yet to the only people that matter – our loyal festival-goers.See you all back at Catton Hall in May!””
