Ash: A Nostalgic Blast at Latitude 2024

Ash’s headline set at Latitude 2024 was a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of Britpop. The Northern Irish band delivered a high-energy performance that had the crowd singing and dancing from start to finish.

Frontman Tim Wheeler’s distinctive vocals were as powerful as ever, and the band’s trademark blend of indie rock and pop punk had the crowd bouncing. Classics like “Girl From Mars” and “Oh Yeah” were met with rapturous applause, proving that Ash’s music has endured the test of time.

As *NME* might have put it, “Ash’s Latitude set was a masterclass in nostalgia, with the band delivering a performance that was both exhilarating and heartwarming.” The band’s ability to recreate the energy of their early albums while also showcasing their more recent work was impressive.

While the core of the set was filled with crowd-pleasing anthems, Ash also included some deeper cuts for the die-hard fans. This balance between old and new kept the set fresh and engaging.

The band’s stage presence was infectious, with Wheeler and his bandmates clearly enjoying themselves. Their chemistry was evident, and it translated into a high-energy performance that had the entire crowd on their feet.

Ash’s Latitude headline set was a reminder of why they are considered one of the most influential bands of their generation. Their music continues to resonate with audiences, and their live shows are a testament to their enduring popularity.
