2000Trees gave us almost 3,000 great photos.
As well as capturing 2000Trees Festival photos from around the site we snapped around 50 of our favourite acts – although we still managed to miss a few we’d have loved to see as we couldn’t be everywhere at once!

Overview of 2000Trees 2022
This isn’t our first visit to ‘trees (as it is known to fans) – and we hope it won’t be our last.
This fiercly independent festival sits at just the right level and is able to nurture up-and-coming talent at the same time as showcasing some great top-level headliners.
It’s location near to Cheltenham puts it in easy reach of a wide swathe of the UK – but it’s also big enough in terms of reputation to pull in fans from further afield. The two Belgian radio show hosts camped next to us were huge fans and talked to us late into the night about how the festival compares favourably with some of the huge festival production numbers Belgium is so famous for.
The site is compact and well laid out…and although the two pairs of main stages are quite close together, a combination of good sound engineering and sensible programming means they don’t interfere with one another.
2000Trees’ fifth music stage is set in a natural woodland amphitheatre and has had an upgrade this year in terms of the actual stage itself, which now provides shelter should the rain come as well as a really good sized performance space.
Should I go to 2000Trees?
The bands speak for themselves of course, and if you want to take an early punt on securing a festival ticket for next year in advance of line-ups being released we can say with some degree of certainty that if you like the bands who have played in the past you will almost certainly be happy with whatever they decide to programme in the future.
We heard the main promoter talking about some of the big names he is approaching for next year, and if even only one or two of them come off they wil be worth the price of entry alone.
We do recommend buying an early entry ticket to set up camp on Wednesday night – not only will you get an extra evening of music, but you will also avoid the long queue for wristbands on Thursday morning.

Gaz Brookfield
Gaz pretty much opened the festival (if you ignore the Wednesday night live acts) and we always love his self-deprecating songs. He’s the classic singer-songwriter and it’s always fantastic to know the festival circuit can continue to support and nurture acts of this quality.
Phoxjaw
Marissa and the Moths
Nervus
Ditz
They deserved a bigger crowd, that’s for sure, but Ditz still put on a great show!
Delaire the Liar
Kneecap
2000Trees was Kneecap’s first foray into the English rock festival scene, and they definitely made their mark. Somewhere between Bloodhound Gand and Goldie Looking Chain but with some serious polictical and social meassages. Highly recommended.
Haggard Cat
Tigercub
Holding Absence
Powerful stuff! Here is a band who definitely could have held their own up on the main stage
Bleak Soul
The Oozes
Dinosaur Pile-Up
SNAYX
We have been following SNAYX on their slither out of the Brighton and Hastings scene to a wider audienc on bigger stages. Probably the most powerful set of the weekend on the Forest Sessions stage and a band you need to embrace quickly before they get too big for you to wrap your arms around them.
Creeper
Anti-Flag
Cassyette
Beans on Toast
Is a festival really a festival without a set from Beans on Toast??
Jimmy Eat World
They saved ‘that song’ for last but they still kept the crowd on their side throughout their headline set.
Petrol Girls
Virgin Marys
Daisy Brain
Orchards
Saint Agnes
Salem
Will Varley
The award for the most attentive crowd at the Forest Sessions stage definitely goes to Will Varley. An interesting booking given the nature of the event, but a winner straight down the line.
Roam
The Hara
Rolo Tomassi
Calva Louise
Bob Vylan
Definitely emerging as the season’s hottest ticket, Bob Vylan are finding themselves on pretty much every ‘must see’ list in advance of each of their festival performances. And their 2000Trees show underlined just why that is.
We are delighted to have been part of the story that got their drone returned to them by a super-fan family during the show.
Turnstile
When we asked our connections and contacts for a band we might not have seen but who we ought to check out at 2000Trees they pretty much all told us ‘Turnstile’. So we did – and we can now see why the recommendations came in as thick and fast as the crowdsurfers who streamed over the barriers throughout the set… if you were one of them click the link below as we probably captured you!

Vuko Vi
Pigs x7
Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs are just one of those bands you cannot help but love the first time you see them… and you just want to keep coming back for more!
Dream Nails
Lizzy Farrell
Mannequin Pussy
Rews
Kid Kapichi
Kid Kapichi have been on our home page as a ‘must see’ band for the last few years, and their 2000Tree show proved to us they definitely still deserve that pole position place.
Nova Twins
Nova Twins are lighting up the music industry right now and were one of the most talked about bands of the festival as we earwigged on conversations at the bars around the site. The only way is up for this powerful and unique outfit.
Knocked Loose
Ginger and the Sinners
Quite probably the ‘elder statesmen’ of the festival, Ginger Wildheart and his band of sinners packed the Forest Sessions arena and no doubt won over new fans as well as providing a highlight for existing followers.
The Chats
Lauren Hibberd
You Me At Six
CLT DRP
Idles
If your festival stage needs a real injection of passionate punk power just book Idles – they are the prescription you need!
Onelinedrawing
Onelinedrawing definitely falls into that category of ‘how-did-I-not-discover-this-until-now?’ Check them out – you won’t be dissappointed!
Twin Atlantic
Definitely a big coup for the Forest Sessions stage – and the capacity crowd that spread between the trees was a testiment to the fondness many people have for Twin Atlantic. A realy joy to see them in this setting.
