Here’s some of our favourite shots of – amongst many others – Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls on the main stage. We’ve also tried to add in a taster of everything else we caught across the site that 2000Trees Festival 2019 had to offer on the Friday of the event.
This is a fantastic festival and sits in programming terms somewhere between Download, Reading/Leeds, and Beautiful Days.
There’s plenty of growling noise merchants banging out fast-paced metal chops, but there are also some tuneful indie-guitar bands and a huge range of singer songwrtiter and stripped-back acoustic talent.
Spread across just a small handful of stages, both the set times and the clever audio-engineering kept set times and sound-bleed to an abolute minimum, meaning that for anyone wanting to take in a significant amount of the bill it was a straightforward task.
And with the added bonus of Playpass cashless wristband payments, 2000Trees scores very highly on our festival-o-meter of ones to definitely get along to at least once.
