  4. Wow! What an amazing sound!?!?!? Is that drum sound created through the recording techniques (EQ, etc.)? Would those drums sound like that "live," like on a club date? Extremely interesting music!!! Thank you!

    The "science" of musical rhythm / polymetrics has come so far from the days of Frank Zappa…

    Artistically, this isn't my kind of music, but as a drummer, it's undeniably awesome. As much as I've tuned into Virgil and where he plays, I have to give a shout out to the non-rhythm-section musicians on this album. Phenomenal players all around.

    Where was the string section that could shift between 5 and 6 when *I* was growing up?
