shambhala was the most expensive music festival i have ever been to and i have gone to more than 20 large scale transformational music festivals in the last 5 years, the culture is great and the drug test booth keeps the drugs legit, but the organization behind the festival is not cool at all they are a huge money grab, they say its an alcohol free festival and if you bring it in they will confiscate it at the gates, the problem is that if you are a veteran to the festival you can say the right things to the gate people to keep yourself from being searched therefore letting in all kinds of bad things like alcohol and weapons although i didn't see or hear of any weapons it definitely made me wonder how or why they think they are immune to terrorizers. most music festivals charge an inflated alcohol price to generate more revenue this festival seems to just inflate the price to park your car and to even get into the festival to make up for the loss in profits from the alcohol not sold onsite. people just bring it and everyone is walking around with water bottles full of booze and sloppy drunk people walking around everywhere… i was extremely excited for shambhala music festival, after the festival was over i compared the experience to the amount of money paid and what came out of it, i took awesome quartz crystals and gave them away as gifts and i contributed quite a bit to the culture, the culture at shambhala is pretty good but the price tag and the fact that the gate is so fucked up makes me not want to go back, i think the people who attended 2018 shambhala deserve a better organization behind shambhala… #fucktheorg

Ive been to 20 Shambs and this year will make 21. I watched it go from 200 people to 20 000. And I will be honest here EVERY year has gotten better. Been to Burning man once and was amazing. Bu tI cant stand dust storms and I like shade trees and water. Burning man for art but Shambs is the place to be soaking up the sun in a cold river while beats get played.

I paid $15 for Shambhala in 1998, 20 yrs ago this yr and unfortunately the last time I was on the farm. I am very happy the festival has become and surpassed what Jimmy and his family ( everyone involved ) hoped for. I have always wanted to check out what Shambhala is now ( this yr would be good, after 20 yrs ). I see tickets have gone up in price since the last time I looked. Is the Fest of today worth the money ? Are the fans still loyal ravers ? is it just a bunch of kids on smart phones ?

  13. DOPE. Missing the Farm!

  14. I've said this once and il say it a million times…….. BE WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE AT SHAMBHALA!!! I feel like sooooooo many people i met last year came expecting all this special shit to happen to them, but contributed absolutely nothing positive to the experience. The face is of Shambhala is always changing and it requires EVERYONE to be on board if the true spirit is going to live on forever. As wonderful a place sham can be its becoming a very, very different place that i dont know i want to be a part of anymore 🙁

  15. Matt Mac says:

First two headliners…. Not that great. Glitch Mob live isn't anything special.

  16. I've always wanted to go since 2011, maybe in 3 more years i'll be able to attend once i finish college 😀

  17. DOVE Wōtan says:

This made me pick up my ticket… Can't wait to see everyone back home!

  19. Eric Starr says:
