FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS: A taste of the Transports at Shrewsbury Folk Festival 2017

Here are five minutes of highlights from the show that’s been wowing audiences country-wide – and tours again in January 2018. The Transports is a story-and-song phenomenon which gathers some of Britain’s brightest stars of folk music – The Young’uns, Faustus, Nancy Kerr, Greg Russell and Rachael McShane – with storyteller Matthew Crampton for a re-invention of Peter Bellamy’s legendary folk ballads. Book tickets now at theTransportsProduction.co.uk – and look out for the album in early 2018. These highlights come from a performance before 4,000 people at Shrewsbury Folk Festival in August 2017. Naturally, the live sound quality’s not so good as the album, but this video captures the energy and joy within the room.
