The inaugural Belt & Road World Choir Festival echoes the vision of the Belt & Road Initiative which promotes deeper cultural exchanges and tighter connections across Eurasia – an idea which perfectly aligns with WYCCAA’s mission and commitment to the musical world. It is a top-tier platform which explores the history and cultural heritage of the related countries through choral arts and searches for artistic and choral perfection from all over the world – through which we hope to share and celebrate peace, love and cultural diversity.
36 participating choirs, over 20 jury members, 3 resident artists, 9 performing choirs and 139 volunteers took part in the Festival. It featured 5 concerts, an 8-category competition, 12 masterclasses, 3 interactive workshops, 2 friendly concerts and cultural excursions.
