Standoners! Where do we begin…
What a groundbreaking and thoroughly joyous 3.5 days of music, comedy and family entertainment we had! The thrill and excitement of being back in the field after two years apart, of being together with you and the memorable sets from all artists involved will be unforgettable. ❤️
Thanks to an incredible team effort on the Pre-Event Covid Certification Process (PCCP), which every single one of you played a part in, we created the first full-capacity outdoor festival to take place outside of the Government’s Event Research Programme.
We couldn’t have done it without your cooperation, patience and trust. We created the PCCP alongside Imperial College London and Certific as it was the right thing to do by our audience, staff and artists. This was immediately evident as soon as the gates opened. The positive vibes were palpable and nothing could take away from the feeling of being back together again, in the fields of Standon with live music. 🎶
The meaning and magnitude of this weekend was apparent through all the incredible feedback we’ve received from our audience, staff and artists throughout the weekend.
Unfortunately, after 3.5 days of sunshine, at 5pm on Sunday evening, the heavens opened. While we had planned for a storm, no amount of planning can prepare for the volume of rain that landed between 5 and 7pm – with Hertfordshire experiencing more rainfall in two hours than your average month of July experiences in total. We thank everyone for their patience and positivity as we carefully planned the next steps which ultimately left us no choice but to cancel the final night of the show. 💔
The cruel nature of the final few hours of a glorious weekend is hard to comprehend. We understand the disappointment, but no amount of rain can dampen our spirits, no thunderstorm can cast a shadow over the triumphant feeling felt across the weekend and the euphoria of being back together again.

A huge thank you to all of you for making the weekend such a resounding success. The support we’ve had from you, our Standon Calling community has been incredible and makes all the difference to our magnificent team who have had all manner of challenges thrown their way over the last 18 months.

Guys as a fellow festival organiser, you should be proud and I’m sorry after all the shit that’s gone on you had to deal with the weather as well. You’ve dealt with it amazing and I have no doubt any reasonable person would agree. Well done xx

It was our first ever festival – we brought 3 children and a dog and absolutely loved every second. Thank you!!

We had a fantastic time as we always do. Many thanks to every single member of the staff and crew who did such a fantastic job putting it all together and then dealing with the storm. We are already counting down to next year ❤️
Thank you for the BEST weekend!! You went to every length possible to help us all feel safe and able to party properly. The rain yesterday was such a shame and no one could have foreseen that amount, but amidst some of the negativity surrounding that, I guarantee there’s a hundred times more positivity. The safety of the public again was put at the forefront. We were really lucky and got to carry on partying back at our van, and will be another memory to look back on.
This year was a huge success and you guys should feel so proud of yourselves for what you created. To be out properly socialising, meeting up with friends and making new ones, along with more memories after a really shit few years has been brilliant. Can’t wait to see you all next year xxx 💜💜
Thanks for bringing us all back together. It was truly awesome. From the Thursday night disco to the last little shimmy by the burger stand last night, we had the best time. My missus was so happy, we even held hands….and she doesn’t do that 😂

We had the best time, smiled from ear to ear for 3 days straight. We felt your pain last night but it didn’t take away from the incredibly special experience🥰 thank you so much
It was a fab weekend and was great to see everyone enjoying themselves.
But I do have to say I don’t think there was enough security as locals were in about and I never had my bag checked . I heard a young girl was attacked by boys for her wristband and somebody else was bottled which is extremely worrying.
As a whole the set up / covid procedures was all great I just think for next year more security is needed.
My son came for the 1st time and had a great weekend 👍
