Funke and the Two Tone Baby at The Vicar’s Picnic 2017

It’s a quiet weekend for Dan Turnbull (AKA Funke and the Two Tone Baby, master of the loop) – he’s only got three festivals to play in 24 hours. Luckily he gets a nice cold drink when he gets home after a 500 mile jaunt around the green fields of England…

ALBUM RELEASE TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm delighted to announce my biggest ever tour, arranged in partnership with DHP Family.

My first album in 3 years and visiting the most prestigious venues in the country means this won't be a standard Funke performance. Expect additional musicians, special guests and the only chance to get your hands on the album before it's release.

There's still 4 months of planning to go but please believe me, this will be a show like no other. A one off. Never to be repeated again. Don't miss it!

04.18 - The Louisiana,Bristol
04.19 - The Cluny, Newcastle

Edward II, are an English roots band that uniquely blend the rhythms of the Caribbean with traditional songs from the British Isles. Temporarily turning away from the rural songs of the middle England Morris teams, the band has been delving deep into a repertoire of songs born of the industrial revolution, specifically of their home town, Manchester. Still upbeat, and with rock-steady rhythms, blazing horns, fabulous harmonies and fiery melodeon melodies, the kings of the intercontinental roots reggae sound-clash return to delve into Manchester's musical history. Rumours are going round that there might not be a dance tent in 2018 if that is the case vicar’s Picnic should have been up front as many of us have bought tickets on the basis that there will be a dance tent next year!!!

Who is doing the dance tent?

Is there going to be a dance area or tent ? Wanted to know before I purchase.

Lucy Ann me, Diane and Jane have our tickets plus baby ticket 😀 Laurence Dawson are you and Jo going next year too?xx

Milly Jane d'Angibau are you interested in coming?
