Latest update from Watchet Festival
We are very proud to announce not 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 groups to our 2018 line-up.
Group 1 are arguably one of Britain’s best-loved reggae bands, renowned among many reggae fans for their adventurous fusion of musical styles such as dancehall, funk, hip-hop and dub.
Group 2 have lived every rock ’n’ roll cliché more vividly, knowingly and hilariously than almost any other British band.
Group 3, fiercely independent Folk-Punk festival stalwarts, are making a welcomed return to Watchet, having first performed on the main stage way back in 2012. Since then they have gone from strength to strength: selling out venues across the country.
Group 4 are fronted by the legendary Bruce Foxton and bring a unique punk /mod sound. Incidentally, we received more requests for this group to play than any other band!!
So, who are they?
Ladies & Gentlemen, without further ado, please give a very big Watchet welcome to……. Aswad, The Dub Pistols, Ferocious Dog & From The Jam. They will be joining Faerground Accidents, Jack Humphries, Kioko, mesh, RSVP Bhangra. Many more acts, including all three headliners, are still yet to come!
With over half of all publicly available tickets sold before a single act was announced, Watchet 2018 is set to continue the festival’s tradition of completely selling out in advance. Those wishing to camp on site are particularly encouraged to buy their tickets as soon as possible, as more than 70% of camping tickets have already sold out.
