Watchet Festival news: The Strays Promo

Latest update from Watchet Festival

This week we would like to introduce to you and welcome to this this year line up Cheltenham based garage rock ‘n’ roll band The Strays.

After smashing onto the scene and releasing their debut EP in April 2017 endorsed by Vocalzone and featured as ones to watch in UK Rock n Roll Magazine for pushing rock ‘n’ roll to it's limit, by fusing a multitude of genres to create a unique modern sound with a gritty, vintage edge. Described as No Doubt meets Imelda May, The Strays performance style is larger than life, interactive, and deliciously unpredictable and will be performing on the Udder stage on Saturday 24th!

2018 saw the release of their eagerly awaited second EP ‘Brand New Day’ coupled with a support slot on Republica’s reunion tour and a packed UK festival schedule which culminated in the accolade of The Cotswolds Best Band 2018 award. A stint of o2 Academy shows supporting Undateables star Daniel Wakeford and Eddie and The Hot Rods, as well as the band being immortalised in a worldwide release of the Garage Band card game rounded off a successful year.
The Strays have been building their brand with a rigorous gigging schedule (almost 100 shows in 2018), quality content and engaging social media campaigns. The Strays are a unique package who are quickly gaining momentum and the buzz around the band is palpable.

2019 will see their debut album recorded with Western Star Records, along with festival appearances across the summer followed by a full UK Tour in the autumn.

Jeanette Brookes let’s be hopeful for this one xxx

You too x

All the best to you folks! Just thinking outside the box a bit. Could we pre-pay for the beer tokens and save cash handling on site.

Really hope it is on but if not we will survive and just have to make next year the best ever. 🎉😎

Love the spotify lists thank you xx
