In a 2013 interview with BBC News South West we famously said … “you have to be disturbed to put on an event like this”. Four years on, and, despite having had a whole year off to recover, we still stand by that statement, you genuinely do have to be disturbed to organise a festival.

Why would anyone want to try putting together a BIG jigsaw whilst holding down full time jobs? It’s certainly not a job for the faint hearted, at times you feel like pulling your hair out and other times you wish the ground would swallow you up. To say you go through every conceivable emotion is an understatement. Thats why, over the course of the past year, we’ve asked ourselves 2 simple questions 1) Is it worth it? 2). Do we really want to put ourselves through it all again? The answers surprised even us 1) Of course it is 2) Of course we do! Why? Forgetting for a moment, all the benefits the festival brings to the town, local charities and the local area, on a more personal level, we feel you can’t beat the euphoria felt on the very last night when we look out into the arena and we see EVERYONE singing, dancing and having such a great time, it makes all the hard work seem worthwhile.

So, we got 2 things to tell you:-
1). Watchet Music Festival WILL return in 2018!!
2). We are Not moving location!

The festival will take place over the weekend of 24th-26th August 2018, so get those dates in your diary and book the time off NOW,

We are not moving site despite the all the local rumours and speculation! There’s been a bit of fun with some fake news posts and conversations taking place in ear shot of the local grapevine but we WILL be at Parsonage Farm as in previous years, same size, same layout with a few tweaks! However we are not sure how many years we will have access to the land to stage Watchet festival on……………as the demographic and growth of our town continues! Our advice is please enjoy it while it is there!

We will be announcing further details in due course. In the meantime, we ask that you please be patient, now is NOT the time to message or email us with band suggestions etc

Oh! and Weekend tickets will be on sale later today ( Day tickets will be on sale in January! )as we have had a tiny admin hitch which we only discovered late last night! We will advise you all once this has been sorted and the tickets will then be on sale via the festival website at a “very early bird” offer to help us be able to get the wheels on the Watchet festival machine moving.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to Watchet in August 2018 🚐⛺️🎶💑🍺☀️😎
