Time running out to submit your short film for Encounters

Hurry! The submission deadline for the 23rd Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival (Bristol, UK, 19–24 September 2017) fast approaches.

Regular submission deadline is 23 May (£25) and late submission is 2 June (£40).

Encounters is the UK’s leading short film festival, and gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film and animation awards: the BAFTAs, the European Film Awards, Cartoon d’Or and the Oscars®.

Works completed from 1 Jan 2016, less than 30 minutes in length from every genre are eligible for this year’s competitive programmes. This year there is a new competitive strand, Immersive Encounters, putting a spotlight on immersive technology, virtual reality, augmented reality and 360-degree storytelling
