The Great Escape 2020 should have taken place this week.
This sadly cannot happen this year, however we can remember some of the highlights from the past 14 years of TGE. Here are just a handful of our top moments.
Why not share your favourite memories of TGE with us so we can celebrate the great moments of discovery we have shared together.
We cannot wait to bring our belated 15th birthday back next year. See you all on the beach in 2021 ☀️ ... See MoreSee Less
Also hugely disappointed too but totally understand with the current situation. I would now have been ready for 3 days of live music midday until midnight. Ticket roll over for next year to look forward to😃
Would have been my 9th consecutive year, and my wife's 10th. Always the best part of the year. Highlight is always hanging out with these great people Nuala Kemp Helen Murray Iain Murray Jon Prince Laura Crowther and Tom. But Walking on Cars playing an extended acoustic gig outside the front of the Brighthelm was pretty special.
I'd be heading off to the bus station in a bit 😞 Gutted to be missing it but glad everyone's staying safe. Roll on next year!!
Lewis Capaldi's Brighton Dome show last year was amazing, came from Germany for that show 🙏🏼😍
Would have been TGE 13 for me,feeling really flat today,it’s my favourite festival in my favourite city, reall going to miss it
Becoming friends with Sophie Rnlt at TGE14, just before Twin Atlantic on Eurovision night has to be one of my best memories of the festival.
yep would've been getting the train in the morning, and its nice weather 😭😭😭
Always love volunteering there
😭😭😭 was sooo looking forward to this

Music Venue Trust are launching a major national initiative to prevent the permanent closure of hundreds of grassroots music venues right across the country threatened by the COVID-19 crisis.
Our grassroots music venues are special to all of us and essential to The Great Escape. They are the place where artists begin, the place where audiences fall in love with music, the place where our communities come together. We can't afford to lose them.
Artists, music fans, and local communities please act together to prevent your own, special local music venue from permanently closing. A new website with details of how you can get involved is live now at saveourvenues.co.uk
This is our community. Together we can save it. #saveourvenues ... See MoreSee Less

Music Venue Trust are fighting hard to help venues at risk. Please share and help if you can 🙏IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Thanks to our first major donation to the national Grassroots Music Venue Crisis Fund, we are today able to launch the GMV Crisis Service which is now live at our website.
This service aims to prevent the permanent closure of 555 grassroots music venues who are currently at imminent very high risk.
The Crisis Service is supported by an army of regional and national coordinators who will work directly one-on-one with each venue to eliminate the most significant threat it faces. Our Crisis Team will guide the whole sector through this storm until the date on which it is able to reopen.
You can read about the Crisis Service at our website: musicvenuetrust.com/
To prevent the permanent closure of hundreds of grassroots music venues right across the UK, we still need more major donors from the music industry to step forward and support this work. Major donations can be arranged by contacting Beverley Whitrick at email@example.com
We know that a lot of people are facing a very difficult time financially at the moment, and we don't want to add to those pressures. If your job is secure, if you and your family are well, and you feel able to make a small donation to support the crisis service, you can donate here: www.gofundme.com/f/2pt5g8k ... See MoreSee Less
