DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT LEAVING THE HOUSE FOR DONINGTON BEFORE YOU’VE READ ALL THIS.
It’s nearly time for the biggest and best rock weekender of the year, and Download HQ is buzzing. The site’s starting to take shape, the official Dogtooth beer has arrived and is delightfully refreshing, and Download Dog’s been sent out to stock up on snacks for next weekend. He better not come back with bones this time, though.
Here’s what you need to know…
THE OBVIOUS: DON’T FORGET YOUR TICKET!
Your ticket will either be sent out to you, or you’ve chosen to print it out at home. Haven’t received yours yet? Head to My Ticketmaster to find out where it is. Still not purchased your ticket? You better get it into your online cart now.
DOWNLOAD THE APP
Got a smartphone? Download our official app and your weekend will improve by approximately 143%. It’s stuffed full of info, a zoomable version of the sitemap and so much more good stuff. If you’re looking for set times, they’ll be in there soon too, the list of reasons to download it just keeps on growing. Best part? It’s totally, 100% free. You can grab it now on Google Play and Apple’s App Store.
STUFF YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO BRING
Turning up to a festival and realising you’ve left your ticket on the kitchen counter is not the one.
We all know the weather has a mind of its own, so bring some warm clothing, wellies and a raincoat. Just in case.
…because it could go both ways! And no one wants a face like a beetroot at the end of the day.
Tent / camping gear
If you’re camping, that is. Is that obvious? It seems obvious.
If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, bring your passport or driving license with you. You’ll need it if you want to buy alcohol. If you look under 16, you’ll need ID to get on site.
Every camper’s favourite thing. Useful for carrying stuff, putting rubbish in, and wearing if you forgot a raincoat.
Every camper’s second favourite thing.
STUFF YOU DEFINITELY SHOULDN’T BRING
ANY glass containers
What you can’t bring into the campsite and arena
