Latest update from Shambala Festival
[ad_1]
We’ve just received the most amazing Christmas present! We’re over the moon to announce that Shambala is the first and only festival to have achieved a five star Creative Green industry certification.
This certification takes into account all aspects of an event’s environmental performance. Previously, we had achieved 4 stars, which in itself is something to be very proud of but we were determined to take it to the next level in 2017 and aim for that elusive fifth star.
We’ve worked hard toward this for several years, and it’s testament to the whole festival team, innovative and committed contractors, the food stalls we work with and our brilliant audience, working together. Shambala is about doing things right and pushing the boundaries. It’s great to be recognised but the story is far from over. Every one of us, in whatever way we can, must take active steps to co-create the future we want to be part of – let’s keep pushing! x

Congratulations. Well done. Better ban non degradeable glitter pretty quick then!. A terrific outcome for the team..
I’ve always said “If Shambala can do it, so can every festival”. Well done everyone, this is something important to be very proud of. X
Well done shambala!
Well done! And much deserved. xx
I always wanted to go here, but never had the chance to.
Well done here’s to 2018 🥂🍾🎉🌞
Congrats!!
what does that even mean ” a five star Creative Green industry certification”? its just silly modern hokum made up in some office brain storming session somewhere so you can wear it like a badge. what do you want? a cake? or a badge? maybe a hat you can wear it when you go shopping so people know that you like the world n that.
out of how many stars is it?

Fantastic! You deserve this recognition for the effort you have made towards being a more environmentally-friendly festival.
Please can I ask what you guys think about glitter? I’ve never seen you promote the use of non-biodegradable glitter, but I’m really interested to know your thoughts about the use of it at Shambala.
Congratulations……
