We’re a bit stunned to announce this year's charity crowd funder has smashed all previous records to smithereens! Your generous donations dwarfed our initial target of £7,000, raising a whopping £10,591 for Unseen – an incredible charity who work to help victims of modern day slavery.

Thank you, Shambalans. Every penny you raised will go direct to Unseen and make a huge difference to people whose lives have been impacted by modern slavery. This is a cause that doesn’t get half as much coverage as it deserves, so to have so many of you pledge your support has been humbling to say the least.

To recap on the urgency of this issue, today there are more victims of forced labour in the world than at any other time in history – meaning more people are currently enslaved in the world than at the peak of the slave trade. 1 in every 200 people in the world are currently enslaved.

Unseen runs safehouses for both women and men as well as providing ongoing support to survivors living in the community. They also operate the national Modern Slavery Helpline, which offers independent advice 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to those who need support to leave their exploitation.

Find out more about the amazing impacts that Unseen have, by heading to their website here: https://www.unseenuk.org/

A huge thank you also to everybody who visited Unseen’s nail bar at Shambala 2019, to learn more about the cause and stick two fingers up to modern slavery.

The winner of the prize draw for Shambala 2020 tickets has been notified via email, so check your inboxes!

Thank you once again. x
