Shambala Festival news: OUR 34th ACT OF 2019…

Latest update from Shambala Festival

๐Ÿ”ˆTURN YOUR SOUND ON! ๐Ÿ”ˆ
Proudly presenting our 34th act of Shambala Festival 2019: Landless.

Singing a capella, Landless' four-part harmonies evoke a windswept rural Ireland from times gone by, reminding us the beauty of voice in union. Their repertoire features songs of love and lamentation, as well as work songs and shape-note hymns.

Delve deeper on our website, here: https://www.shambalafestival.org/2019/events/landless/

Music credit: Landless โ€“ โ€˜The Ballad of Springhill.โ€™ Listen in full and download here: https://landless.bandcamp.com/trโ€ฆ/the-ballad-of-springhill-2

Tune in again at 5pm on Monday as we announce our 35th act!

๐Ÿฝ๏ธWe've opened applications for food traders ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

We'll be needing to feed the thousands with scrummy, hearty, and flavourful veggie sustenance. We're after purveyors of the finest grub who can join our ranks of inspirational food traders.

Take some time to look at our sustainable initiatives and the food culture weโ€™re cooking up onsite. Weโ€™re after food that sustains Shambalans with quality stuff and that tells a story!

Presenting Episode 10 of Shambala Speaks: Cider Battle!

Settle back and journey with Dan Heath, The Cider Box and Gabe Cook, The Ciderologist, to the warm, fuzzy lands of honeyed liquid gold. They take us expertly through our national tipple, and try to convince a Shambala audience to decide which county makes the best cider: Somerset or Herefordshire?

Our annual Inspirational Traders award is a chance for us to celebrate the food traders who have gone above and beyond Shambala's stacked list of sustainability standards. This year we wanted to spotlight the traders who have made changes towards a more regenerative food culture, as well as those who have taken us up on innovations that empower traders to monitor their impacts themselves.

๐Ÿ† 2019'S WINNER ๐Ÿ†... Uber Tuber

Purveyors of the humble spud, รœber Tuber take the top spot for 2019 for their no-stone-left-unturned approach to providing sustainable sustenance. Our judges were impressed by their determination to operate as efficiently and sustainably as possible, cleverly reducing food waste, power and water use through their innovative menu. ALL of their dishes qualified as One Planet Plates, accounting for less that 0.5kg CO2e per dish. Combined with their commitment to source all vegetables locally, this made รœber Tuber super low impact. Whatโ€™s more all their staff travel together in one vehicle to all events, and they carbon offset their festival season travel. The team also aim to plant a tree for every meal served! Massive well done to the whole รœber Tuber team.

Shambala Festival

Heads up! If you're yet to book for Shambala Festival 2020 this is your very last call for regular adult entry tickets. We're running very low on Tier 3 adult and Tier 3 instalment tickets (which allow you to pay off in three chunks).

Once these have disappeared, only Shambala Express Coach packages and Red Fox Cycling Tickets will remain. Both Coach and Cycle packages are only valid for entry if you arrive at the festival by coach or guided bike ride respectively, so if you plan to arrive at Shambala by car or campervan, this is your last chance to book.

Book tickets here: www.shambalafestival.org/buy-tickets/

More info on our coach packages here: www.shambalafestival.org/essential-info/travel/coaches/
