Latest update from Shambala Festival
Keep your valuables safe at Shambala this year by using our secure lock up unit – provided by Yorkshire Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and run by volunteers with all income going to the campaign. The locker area is secure and staffed 24 hours a day, so you can collect and deposit your items at any time.
Prices have been reduced this year to £3 for anything that will fit into a large envelope (think car keys, passports, bank cards etc) and £5 for a shelf space suitable for 1 large rucksack. Book your locker in advance HERE: http://www.shambalafestival.org/secure-on-site-lockers/

Perhaps you (like us) are celebrating a landmark birthday and want to pull out all the stops. Maybe your knees can't take a long weekend in your old tent or perhaps you'd just rather travel light.
Accommodation bookings are now open - from hobbit huts to cosy yurts, tipis, bell tents and colourful canvas showstoppers. If you're after something without the bells and whistles, CampLight are on hand with their reconditioned tent packages.

Voting for the Shambala Festival 2020 carnival theme is now open!
*Please note social media comments do not count as votes, you need to head to the website to cast your votes here: www.shambalafestival.org/vote-for-your-2020-carnival-theme/
Voting will close at midday on Tuesday 4th February and your winner will be announced shortly after. As in 2019, we ask you to create your costumes from second hand or recycled materials rather than falling into the plastic tat from the internet trap!
Your options are as follows:
1. 🚀 HUMANKIND'S GREATEST HITS 🎸
We live in a time of increasing uncertainty and challenge - it's easy to feel down on being a human. But there's so much to be proud of too! Get creative with your interpretations of the greatest moments of human history - from courageous feats, to genius discoveries and artistic masterpieces. Think the moon landing to the Mona Lisa and the pyramids to penicillin. A raucous journey through Shakespeare to Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club, via the Sistine Chapel and sliced bread...
2. 🎲GAME ON! 🎳
What's a birthday bash without a few party games? We invite you to pay tribute to the power of PLAY; from haughty chess queens to slippery snakes and ladders, monopoly to Professor Mustard in the drawing room with a candlestick. Giant eggs on giant spoons, an orchestra of noisy musical chairs, a living twister board, a lake full of hungry hippos - it's all to play for, just roll the dice...
3. ⌛️ABOUT TIME 🕰
A new decade heralds a time for both retrospection and future dreaming. Let's fall through the space time continuum and give the hourglass of time a good hefty shake. Take it as literally as you want - come as a giant cuckoo clock or one of Dali's melting timepieces. Bring your best Viking A-game, don your fanciest Medieval finery or peer into a future of billionaires colonising Mars, or floating brains in jars with personalities uploaded to the cloud. It's Carnival O'Clock!
Cast your votes wisely, Shambalans! x ...
Carnival themed Carnival!!! No I’m not taking the piss (too much) a proper Caribbean Carnival!!!!!
Ooh, a tough choice this year. I kind of want all three, but the opportunity to be a Viking for a bit swung it for me. A Love Viking, obvs.

This has never happened in January before, but we can now confirm that all tickets for Shambala Festival 2020 have now been snapped up. Shambalans, we can’t thank you enough for your support - we’re so excited to celebrate 20 years of adventures in utopia with you this August.
If you didn’t manage to nab a ticket, we recommend keeping a very beady eye on our ticket page, as we do offer refunds up to 4 weeks before the festival. We do not operate a waiting list and any returned tickets are popped back on sale automatically by The Ticket Sellers so it’s a case of checking regularly and moving quick if you see one appear.
Please do NOT risk buying from strangers or third party sites. Sadly, every year scammers operate - do not be tempted to buy tickets from anybody you don’t know. Remember that tickets bought from anywhere apart from our website or TicketSellers.co.uk (our ONLY valid ticket agent) may not be valid for entry. We’ve seen Shambala tickets popping up on various ticket tout sites – not only are they on offer at hugely inflated prices, if they don't match your ID on arrival you are highly likely to be turned away at the gate and considerably out of pocket – don’t risk it!
Big love x ...
Psssst! 2 Shambala tickets up for grabs! Fill in this quick survey about Shambala/festivals in general, from our pals at the Association of Independent Festivals before the end of Feb and you could win 2 tickets to Shambala 2020 (just select Shambala from the dropdown in question 1 and remember to leave your contact details when asked, if you'd like to enter the competition) www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/JDKPD8G
