Shambala Festival news: Human Again Helpline

Latest update from Shambala Festival

You wonderful humans raised over £10,000 to help Unseen fight modern slavery, through our 'Flags for the Unseen' crowdfunder this year. Thank you.

There are tens of thousands of people still in slavery in the UK right now, and for many their best chance of freedom is the Modern Slavery Helpline. But, horrifyingly, this vital resource now faces closure on 30 November without urgent funding.

Please watch the video below to hear Tania's story. When someone like Tania manages to find two safe minutes to call the Helpline, it’s vital someone is there to answer. Don't let them go unseen.

Please share – and find out how you can help, here:

At Shambala, 100% of our charity guest ticket donations go to charity. This year, The Flying Seagull Project were one of the charities receiving funds from this pot.

The Flying Seagulls advocate for access to play for all kids, and have been busy spreading joy and laughter to children effected by the refugee crisis since 2015. Read more about their inspiring work -

Shambala Festival

This election is hugely important. It's a chance for you to have your say on the policies (not personalities) that are most important to you – whether that’s the NHS, the environment, public services or education. You must have registered to vote by midnight on November 26th.

As if having a voice in your future wasn’t enough, we’ve teamed up with our friends in the festival community on a joint campaign (#UseYourVoice2019) and will be giving away 2 adult tickets to Shambala Festival 2020 to one lucky person who registers to vote between Friday 15th November (today!) and midnight on 26th November, when registration closes.

1. Like and share this post on Facebook.

2. Register to vote (it’s super quick and can even be done on your phone)

2. Once registered, comment on this Facebook post saying ‘I just registered to vote’ and tag at least one mate.

4. After the deadline of midnight on November 26th has passed, we will contact one of you as our winner. To accept the prize, you will need to forward us your confirmation email to show you did register to vote during the specified time period. Should you not be able to do this, the prize will be passed along to somebody else.

Check out our full T&CS here:

Together we can make a change. Use your voice. Vote.

Shambala Festival

If you missed Wiyaala's performance with K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade at Barrio Afrika this year and haven't been able to forgive yourself, fear not, the video folks at Trago Studio captured the whole set for you. Behold, the coolest woman on the planet.

Sound and mixing by Pete Not Bombs.

There is always loads I want to see in barrio afrika. But it's always so packed that I go in and have to leave after a few minuets. This year I didn't even bother trying.
