🎳 Wishing a very Happy Birthday to the legend that is *Jarvis Cocker*! A figurehead of the Britpop genre, iconic frontman of Pulp, but more importantly he pulled off THAT stage invasion at the 1996 Brit Awards... it's just too, too good. Have a good one, Jarv. ... See MoreSee Less

I was at the barrier 3 weeks ago at End of the Road- he was bloody awesome!

Jarv would be the perfect Rockaway act...

I once served him breakfast at his rehearsal studio. When a phone call came through for him I was too embarrassed to admit I knew who he was so went through the charade of calling out "is there a jarvis cocker here". I'm a knob.

Yes! @Jarv is... For rockaway x

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease try and get him for Rockaway.

Tracklist: Black Sabbath - Paranoid (1970) The Who - Won’t Get Fooled Again (1971) Lou Reed - Perfect Day (1972) David Bowie - Jean Genie (1973) Patti Smith - Hey Joe (1974) Jonathan Richman & the Modern Lovers - Roadrunner (1975) The Damned - New Rose (1976) Ramones - Rockaway Beach (1977) Kraftwerk - The Robots (1978) Joy Division - Transmission (1979) 👊

I’d lose Patti Smith in 1974, replace with Kraftwerk ‘Autobahn’ and have Blondie ‘Denis’ in 1978. 🎧 🎵

You ain't seen nothing yet b t o and radar love golden earing 75 Steve gibbons tulane 77

Surely 1979 merits a mention of the epoch-making Tubeway Army/ Gary Numan arrival?

Since when were Throbbing Gristle a punk band?
