  1. Alan Frith says:

I think Chas n Dave doing a blues set will surpris a few but I think they will in fact be a great addition and will put on an excellent show.

  2. Great fun at Sonisphere, enjoyed great hairy biker/rockers head banging along with them.

  3. They should be on one of the main stages as that tent will be packed outa

  4. Colin Emery says:

Great addition. A top act with real Rock ‘n’ Roll / Blues pedigree. Chas Hodges was a session musician for Gene Vincent and ‘The Killer’ Jerry Lee Lewis. They’ll be great fun and surprise everyone, even the smart-arse doubters I’m sure. Cheers team! 👍🏻

  5. Steph Davies says:

Wonderful!! A line on my bucket list can be ticked !!! Fab fab fab Ramblin Man !!! How can you not smile and jig about to Chas n Dave !!! Love it ! 🍻

  6. Ray Paul says:

Really splashing the cash on big rock acts lol…. saw them at Sonisphere , they where good fun .

  7. Jane Alcorn says:

Speechless… but hey, willing to give em a whirl for a giggle (depending on what else is on at the time…)

  8. Gary Aston says:

Had to check the date to make sure it’s not April 1st. Saw them once at Knebworth that’s enough for me. Who’s next, the Barron Knights ? 😆

  9. Hey what’s Andy Fairweather Low doing . I caught him a few years ago and he put on a terrific show with his band ( the Low Riders I think they were called). He would be a great addition methinks!

  10. Jay Mather says:

So glad you’ve managed to get the official Chas & Dave. The unofficial Chas & Dave might of been considered a cop-out.

  11. Adrian Perry says:

A little left field and not what I expected, but this could end up being the set of the festival (if you can get in the tent), why not put them on the main stage or one of the outdoor stages would be a shame to not let as many see them as you can.

  12. Mark Potts says:

I saw them support Zeppelin showing my age I have to admit they get a crowd going but there a really strange choice

  13. Apart from Knebworth with Zep I’ve seen them at the Great British Beer Festival where they attracted one of the biggest ever crowds….and at half time at White Hart Lane for a Spurs game !

  14. Think they will be fab…..but to the doubters…’Oh darlin’ there ain’t no pleasing you!’

  15. Brilliant announcement. Don’t knock them until you’ve seen them. Plenty more to watch if you don’t fancy them.

  16. Ian Wood says:

I love Gun. I enjoyed watching Chas n Dave when I saw them…but this slow drip feed of announcements isn’t doing you any favours is it? You’re already miles behind other festivals and Download are dropping 50 more bands in an announcement on Tuesday. These 2 drip feed ones have got you sod all press/ internet coverage so far. Just get on with it man!!

  17. Russ Marquis says:

So Def Leppard just announce December tour. Thats them off the list then, starting to feel a little nervous. Please, no more drip feeds, get it done and announce headliners!

  18. I was at Knebworth in 1979 when they opened the bill for Led Zep at midday. At the end of each song there was no applause at all !! Never seen or heard an arena so quiet ..

  19. Anybody else get the feeling this is going to be a festival with no headline-quality acts? I know booking is hard work, and there’s only a certain number of bands out capable of moving large numbers of tickets. Alice Cooper? I’d be tempted by that.

  20. Alan Dower says:

They supported status quo a couple years back at the O2, I like them they were a laugh and got the crowd going. But I haven’t heard them do blues not sure they are suitable for rambling man.

  21. Cockney slap and tickle is hardly “Blues” is it? Great live apparently, but in this context, Gertcha! Actually, this could be a lot of fun, in a guilty pleasure sort of way.

  22. Sorry guys but this is getting farcical, I no headliners don’t make the whole show but it helps, starting to regret getting tickets, love the festival but please stop drip feeding people are really getting fed up

  23. I like Chas And Dave. But, really, six months to go before the festival and the best they can offer is Chas And Dave and……Gun. You couldn’t make it up. Meanwhile you’ve got Stonefree with Scorpions and Yes and Bloodstock with Priest, not to mention Download! I am sad and frustrated, I fucken love the festival but it’s doomed, Captain Mainwaring, doomed! The delay is for a reason: They haven’t got any headliners, they’ve been let down or fucked over again and they’re frantically stalling for time. They’ve got barely 6 months to sell tickets for this event. But no disrespect to Fish or Halestorm or whatever, there is no way they will pull in enough punters. Gutted! Also worried it will go tits up after they’ve banked all the money, weeks before and we’ll all be left fucked

  24. Karen Webber says:

This is a joke right? WTF is going on, this is going to be the last Ramblin Man Fair for sure, whoever is running this farce needs to leave, I’m sure Chas and Dave are a good laugh but none of the band mentioned so far warrant the money we have all paid out, where do I get a refund?

  25. Alan Nesbitt says:

The same Chas n Dave who had a string of novelty hits a few decades ago?
