Saw Kris do a cover of the Allman Brother’s “whipping post” when they were the backing band for Caitlin Koch on the Outlaw Country stage a few years back. It was f’kin amazing, he absolutely nailed the solo and then some.

Never been a beatles fan so easy for this cover to be better, but KBB are a great hard working talented bunch full stop. Hail Mary!

Skinny Molly did a great version of Copperhead Road on their last tour

Whiskey In The Jar by Metallica is pretty good πŸ‘

Excellent 🀘

  1. Jamie Mayers says:

    Liam Holmes YES!!!!

  2. Jane Deborah Riley says:

They are a great band but personally was hoping for a new headliner not a repeat 😐

  3. Karen Colley says:

Was hopeing for someone that hadnt done rambling man before.

  4. Mike Fletcher says:

Brilliant!!!!! They were awesome in 2016, perfect Saturday night πŸ˜ƒπŸŽΆπŸ€˜

  5. Gary Russell says:

I like em a lot , but let’s be honest they are semi-permanent visitors to the U.K. & headlines a couple of years ago… underwhelmed

  6. Jezz Whatmore says:

    Yeah! Great news!

  7. Garry Coles says:

Was a little unsure when they were announced as headliners in 2016 but ended up being very impressed. Be good to have them back. πŸ™‚

  8. Viki Mitchell says:

Much happier with this than I am about the darkness. They are always awesome live I’m looking forward to this a lot.

  9. Geoff Smith says:

Was hoping for a brand new headliner, but as I love Black Stone Cherry, I’m not exactly upset!!!…. Always a terrific festival and the 19 lineup looks exceptional x

  10. Grozzy Diavolo says:

nothing there for me this year…. after 4 years in a row I will have to give it a miss….. shame, always try to support local stuff….. good luck to ya, hope it will be more heavy stuff next year….

  11. James Cross says:

Already booking repeat headliners like what, within 5 years of starting? Writing on the wall

  12. Nancy Whitebread says:

And people are moaning again πŸ˜‚ – ok so they’ve headlined before but they are a great band and I’m looking forward to seeing them again πŸ™‚

  13. Jade Elyse Conway says:

Jack Thornton John Thornton Sue Rimington looks like the darkness are just the friday night headliners ‘friday at the fair’, not the weekend ones so you have to pay for 3 day ticket to see them!

  14. David Taylor says:

If BSC are over can we get the Kentucky Headhunters back then. The family crossover bits between those two were the best part of the festival in 2016.

  15. Paul Oliver says:

Hell yes !! One of my favourite bands, and I missed them when they came last time. So glad Ive had my ticket since July.

  16. David Taylor says:

Not the hugest fan. Can watch them. However I find very few festivals are actually about the headliners these days…..a solid undercard of exciting bands is where its at. Having said that Foreigner are one of the top 5 live bands in the world right now πŸ˜‰

  17. Adrian Perry says:

Not for me! was unimpressed when they headlined 2016. Alas will give this years fair a miss. Hope all who go have a great time. Maybe back in 2020

  18. Craig Grant says:

Missed them last time so well pleased

  19. Justin Coombs says:

Good band but you should have tried to have got the Cadillac Three to headline. So this now makes the Darkness, Orange Goblin, the Wildhearts and BSC that’ll be worth seeing, but is that worth the best part of 200 quid…. especially after the trouble we had seeing the Cult last year with people standing in front of us, and we were in the front row…!!!!! Anyway, the festival is too young to have to start repeating headline bands

  20. Jude Sanders says:

Well deserved , i love BSC cant understand the whining of some people so what if they,ve played before , they were awesome

  21. Lauren Gadd says:

HOLY SHIT BALLS!!!!!!! Love these boys so much

  22. Pete Morrell says:

Great news. I just hope Kent has some trees left as John Fred Young gets through an enormous number of drum sticks during a gig! It’s more of a contact sport than drumming!

  23. Rebecca Coates says:

I for one am very happy! Loved them last time and will love them this time! Bring it on 😍

  24. David Silsby says:

The Darkness on Friday, Black Stone Cherry on Saturday and Foreigner on Sunday. I think this calls for a full weekend ticket. 😁🎸🀘🏽what do you say Ian Ballard, Justine Ballard, Sally Silsby?

  25. Mark Capeling says:

Never mind they will be great again, they will draw in a large crowd but little bit disappointing they’ve headlined before and it’s not someone new but it’s not the end of the world. Let’s hope it’s another dry one 😁

  26. Hayley Robbins says:

Black Stony Cherry, fantastic, blast I’m not going to be there!!

  27. Black Stone Cherry says:

We cannot wait!! We adore this festival! We will see you all very soon!

  28. Luke Moseley says:

I like Black Stone Cherry but this is disappointing. It’s like you didn’t even try to get someone new to play.
