They are one of the UK’s finest and diverse rock acts, they have sold platinum albums on both sides of the atlantic, and have played with the likes of Guns n’ Roses, Metallica and Aerosmith. The lead singer even took time out to front the reformed Doors!

Some say they were born into this but they need no ceremony, they’ll be bringing all the swagger and rock n’ roll to the Fair! They are Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy and they are The Cult!!!

Rather than a festival wristband I’ll be collecting a hospital one! I’m spending next Friday at the hospital having a Cardioversion to reset my heart rhythm. An electrifying performance...

Monster Magnet as always , hope you are planning to get them back one day after last year’s cancellation due to illness?

Thinking about a trip to Moat Park on the Friday then the rest of the weekend will be RMF at home in the garden

Gonna sulk and drink wine and wear my Monster Truck shirts😞

Right now I'm thinking that doesn't look like the Ramblin' Man Fair.

Pretty bleak here in the States at the moment with this damn virus and citizens who can't get their shit together...."cause they got rights". But on the plus side, RMF and The Open on the same weeks and at the same venues give me hope. Looking forward to airfares starting to open up for advance bookings.

Had to get involved didn’t I!

New Gallows Circus single 'Hell's Whiskey'...an absolute killa!!! 🀘 open.spotify.com/track/3E9I2BUq4wqRpIpGntsfV0?si=wznJh2ARRmqaQdqEEHZNyQ

We're going to Kent to my brother's for a Ramblin man weekend. Looking forward to next year.

Anything ROCK & LOUD, having a wee drinky and thinking of what could have been next weekend....really gonna miss it this year

Possibly the planet rock live asylum set, on the TV, but sitting in the garden of course!

In the garden with lots of Rival Sons some Fogat and Heart.

Maybe going to more park with some friends take some music to listen to and pretend it ramblin man fair

The new track from Dead Lord who would be fab at RMF and the cherry truck charity single

I’ll probably spend next weekend feeling angry with the world for ruining 2020 but also looking forward to RMF 2021!

I thought I’d get drunk and then loudly educate the neighbours with my impeccable taste in music, especially a group called Whiskey Myers that I may have mentioned ... 🀘😎🀘

Ramblin' in the garden with a tent, some great music and a beer or two🀘

My first summer for many years without Ramblin Man Fair. I will sit in my man cave watching videos and listening to Jack Hutchinson band, Bad Touch, Larkin Poe and some more.

Preparing a Ramblin' Man Fair playlist in readiness for next Saturday, when we should have been at Mote Park with friends who were going for their first experience. Instead we're all having a week's break in Dorset with a planned RMF evening on Saturday with festival food, cider and great music!

Considering turning my conservatory into a VIP room with beer, bourbon and a Ramblin’ Man playlist from 2015-2020 on the sound system. Not sure I’d get away with axe-throwing though. 🀘🏻🎸🍺🍺πŸ₯ƒπŸ₯ƒ

Probably sitting in the Ramblin Man arena at Mote Park waiting for the music to return while having a few beers 🍻 πŸ‘Œ

Plans for next weekend? To either avoid (my local) Mote Park....OR....just take some music down to the site, play said music (loudly),eat, drink & think of what should’ve been.πŸ˜‰ 🀘🎸🀘

Bloody hell 😳........look at the weather forecast for next weekend. Hopefully the weather will be like that next year 🀞

Weather permitting RMF playlist from 2015-2019 lots of wine/gin/cider/vodka & annoying the neighbours whist in the garden!!!🀘🀘

Listening to Robert Jon & The Wreck, great band. I have recently started my own radio show on facebook as The Celty Collection so just debating what to play next Thursday on the show. Following your announcement I might have to put some Clutch in.

Skynnrd reportedly not showing, come on Purple let’s be having you. Dead Dasies, Those Damn Crowes, Saxon. Still hoping for Anne Wilson and Rival Sons tho πŸ‘πŸ˜‰

British Lion and Judas Priest please cheers

Hope The Record Company are still playing. And would love to see Robert Jon and the Wreck again☺️☺️

Us

I suppose the advantage with one or two bands invariably not being able to reschedule for next year is that Whiskey Myers will be able to play a longer set... 🀘😎🀘

awesome

Ooh, a few more first appearances at RMF, always welcome!

Peter Wink

Is lynnrd skynrd playing next year?

Fantastic news!

Yes Is Lynyrd Skynrd still on but it’s Rival Sons I’m waiting to hear about. They finish tour with Aerosmith just before so will be in Europe so 🀞

Will clutch still be doing the 3 day thing? that's what sold me on 2020?

Best Blues stage yet. Nice.

I’m sitting here eating my favourite lunch, a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry baguette.

This announcement has made lunchtime sweeter.

  3. Kate Hartfield says:

The cult!!!!!!!!! Thankyou ramblin man. I have wanted to see this band since I was a youngster πŸ‘ one of my favourite bands β™₯

  4. Paul Hewitt says:

Happy with that. Yes! Thank you

  5. Adrian Pope says:

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! I remember seeing them at Halloween in London in 1985… then missing the last train back to Staplehurst. Now they are coming to my back garden! ❀

  8. Doug Maclean says:

We saw them live 2010 …they were great πŸ‘ hoping they still as good , …few beers in and putting up with you nutters all day ….Be
    A great sing along πŸ˜ƒ

  9. Adrian Perry says:

Thats a good shout – not a band I would rush out to see maybe but a great fit for Ramblin man, adds to the already electric mix of artists, should be a good festival. Now just announce Paul Rodgers and the Free Spirit as the second headliner and you will be on the money!

  10. Ickle Lion says:

We bought our ticks on day of release, so no matter what we were going Lee Garner Mark Nicol. Great 1st headliner. I remember last year when Extreme were named 1st and the comments were way more negative. They were great and The Cult will be great. Roll on the next announcement.

  11. Bryn Ze Chapman-Harris says:

That’ll do me BUT–why are Blackberry In a Bloodin tent Not big enough for a kiddies party They REALLY should be MAIN Stage..!!.

  12. Gary Bowyer says:

Hmm, the jury is out for me, hopefully they’ll wow us all. With the likes of Whitesnake & ZZ Top in previous years they have some big shoes to fill.

  13. Lee Williams says:

Haha, well done lads! Didn’t see that one coming but great save. Really look forward to see who’s topping the other day, you’re back on my radar again πŸ™‚

  14. Nick Read says:

I reckon that’s a good shout for a headliner. Everyone knows a tune of theirs, and can definitely handle the big stage. Well done RMF

  15. Graham Andrews says:

Fabulous announcement. Never seen them but always wanted too. Shaping up to be a great weekend. Keep the surprises coming. X

  16. Bryan Tennant says:

Not bad – your email mentions them joining and an “already stellar line up” though. It’s a bit short of that so far.

  17. John S Wiggs says:

Anyone not seen Steve Earl before and thinking ” not really my thing ” I recommend you at least give him a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed ✌

  18. Paul White says:

The Cult!! Omg they absolutely rock, saw them on the Electric tour and supporting Guns and Roses. They’ll be great!!

  19. Alice Jarvis says:

Can you buy a ticket for just Sunday?

  20. Mark Bochen says:

Izzy hale reyt singer, cult one of the best bands ever, drummer from son’s of Apollo is the best drummer ever, but better when he was in dream theater πŸ™‚

  21. Ian Wood says:

OK, its not a stellar headliner that we’d been hoping for but its a good solid addition that I’ll happily watch and enjoy. Thank you RMF, heres to the next headliner. Cheers

  22. Ian Wood says:

By the way, doesnt Fish deserve bigger font on the poster? Headlining second biggest stage but smaller font than the tent headliners? Go on, big up the big yin!

  23. Paul Edwards says:

The Cult, the greatest, awesome, seen them so many times in the last 30 years and they just get better and better

  24. Jeff Barber says:

Me and that man! Nergal from Behemoth’s other band! That and Von Hertzen Brothers is reason enough to want to go
