Monster Magnet as always , hope you are planning to get them back one day after last year’s cancellation due to illness?

Thinking about a trip to Moat Park on the Friday then the rest of the weekend will be RMF at home in the garden

Right now I'm thinking that doesn't look like the Ramblin' Man Fair.

Pretty bleak here in the States at the moment with this damn virus and citizens who can't get their shit together...."cause they got rights". But on the plus side, RMF and The Open on the same weeks and at the same venues give me hope. Looking forward to airfares starting to open up for advance bookings.

Had to get involved didn’t I!

New Gallows Circus single 'Hell's Whiskey'...an absolute killa!!! 🤘 open.spotify.com/track/3E9I2BUq4wqRpIpGntsfV0?si=wznJh2ARRmqaQdqEEHZNyQ

We're going to Kent to my brother's for a Ramblin man weekend. Looking forward to next year.

Anything ROCK & LOUD, having a wee drinky and thinking of what could have been next weekend....really gonna miss it this year

Possibly the planet rock live asylum set, on the TV, but sitting in the garden of course!

In the garden with lots of Rival Sons some Fogat and Heart.

Sue Summers well then! We couldn't have planned this weekend better we tried. Ramblin man play list while we walk? Xxxx

Should have been Beggars Fair Romsey aswell

Maybe going to more park with some friends take some music to listen to and pretend it ramblin man fair

The new track from Dead Lord who would be fab at RMF and the cherry truck charity single

I’ll probably spend next weekend feeling angry with the world for ruining 2020 but also looking forward to RMF 2021!

I thought I’d get drunk and then loudly educate the neighbours with my impeccable taste in music, especially a group called Whiskey Myers that I may have mentioned ... 🤘😎🤘

Ramblin' in the garden with a tent, some great music and a beer or two🤘

Should of been here this weekend, prob at the 'Ale Tent' now🍺😎

My first summer for many years without Ramblin Man Fair. I will sit in my man cave watching videos and listening to Jack Hutchinson band, Bad Touch, Larkin Poe and some more.

Preparing a Ramblin' Man Fair playlist in readiness for next Saturday, when we should have been at Mote Park with friends who were going for their first experience. Instead we're all having a week's break in Dorset with a planned RMF evening on Saturday with festival food, cider and great music!

Considering turning my conservatory into a VIP room with beer, bourbon and a Ramblin’ Man playlist from 2015-2020 on the sound system. Not sure I’d get away with axe-throwing though. 🤘🏻🎸🍺🍺🥃🥃

Probably sitting in the Ramblin Man arena at Mote Park waiting for the music to return while having a few beers 🍻 👌

Plans for next weekend? To either avoid (my local) Mote Park....OR....just take some music down to the site, play said music (loudly),eat, drink & think of what should’ve been.😉 🤘🎸🤘

Bloody hell 😳........look at the weather forecast for next weekend. Hopefully the weather will be like that next year 🤞

Weather permitting RMF playlist from 2015-2019 lots of wine/gin/cider/vodka & annoying the neighbours whist in the garden!!!🤘🤘

Bit shit tbh

Blindstone are fantastic

Bang bang bang bang, vamanos vamanos 🤘

Please please say you can still get Monster Truck??🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Skynnrd reportedly not showing, come on Purple let’s be having you. Dead Dasies, Those Damn Crowes, Saxon. Still hoping for Anne Wilson and Rival Sons tho 👍😉

British Lion and Judas Priest please cheers

Hope The Record Company are still playing. And would love to see Robert Jon and the Wreck again☺️☺️

Us

I suppose the advantage with one or two bands invariably not being able to reschedule for next year is that Whiskey Myers will be able to play a longer set... 🤘😎🤘

awesome

Ooh, a few more first appearances at RMF, always welcome!

Peter Wink

Is lynnrd skynrd playing next year?

Fantastic news!

Yes Is Lynyrd Skynrd still on but it’s Rival Sons I’m waiting to hear about. They finish tour with Aerosmith just before so will be in Europe so 🤞

Will clutch still be doing the 3 day thing? that's what sold me on 2020?

Best Blues stage yet. Nice.

Initially I thought a bit of an odd choice. But then they are a well known, influential band on the UK music scene. I think a very interesting choice, will certainly go and have a look.

It also shows the RM team’s commitment for coming up with big, surprise exclusives, which they’ve done again – I don’t think anyone saw that coming?!

I know they won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but well done once again RM team!

  2. Anonymous says:

We have tickets and will be going. There are a few bands we really want to see and I think we will have a great weekend. But after the date change, the wait, the big build up….this is more than disappointing. If this is the best you can do then 2019 is looking unlikely for us.

  3. Anonymous says:

Very happy with Mott the Hoople. Never seen them and didn’t think I ever would. You can’t get more Classic than Mott. A legendary English rock band. Top work 🤘🏻🎸🍺😎

  4. Anonymous says:

Ian Hunter is a total legend. This is fantastic news, I think this festival line up is superb and so much more interesting than the same old bands the competition have on.

    Ramble on

  5. Anonymous says:

Just don’t think this is going to sell tickets , how we go from Steel Panther to Moot The Hopple in one evening I don’t know, any one want to buy a pair of weekend tickets ?

  6. Anonymous says:

I guess two questions spring to mind… who was it that you moved the dates for and have now pulled out, and can you make the country stage tent bigger for Saturday night…?? Seriously unimpressed with saturdays main stage….

  7. Anonymous says:

First time for me. Bought tickets weeks ago and can’t say I’m blown away by the line up. But you know what I ve heard great things so with good mates and a pocketful of beer tokens we ll make the long trip south with the intention of soaking it all up. It is what it is and, know what………I’m going to enjoy it.

  8. Anonymous says:

Two low key headliners. I like bits of the Cult and I know Mott the Hoople are a respectable enough band, but I can’t stand them. This is an incredibly feeble line up and doesn’t justify the cost of two days. Worst value festival in the country.

  9. Anonymous says:

I last saw Mott The Hoople when I was 17, at the Black Prince in Bexley, when All The Young Dudes was a hit. Not what I was expecting to see, but is gonna be an entertaining weekend.

  10. Anonymous says:

So the massive announcement that was due just before Xmas and then delayed for weeks and the date change was for the cult and mott the hoople . Oh and chas and dave. Poor line up and not worth the ticket prices

  11. Anonymous says:

Well that certainly was the swerve ball!!! Definately not crowd pullers and this is what all the wait has been for….certainly not a headlining act…very disappointed….surely they wouldve been better putting either Blackberry Smoke or the Cadillac Three as headliners….so it look like next years is also going to be poor line up too as i really cant see Mott the Hoople and The Cult making people rush out and buy tickets….such a shame as its a great festival…..

  12. Anonymous says:

Such negative comments… I’m more than happy with the line up. There are bands I can’t wait to see/wait to see again, bands I don’t particularly like (but hey!) bands I’ve never heard of but look forward to hearing for the first time. It’s all part of the festival experience, and Ramblin Man is a great, small, friendly festival. If you don’t like the line up, stop bitching and create your own festival unique to your own rigid likes, wants and specifications. Can’t be easy booking bands and i think the organisers are doing a blinding job- don’t know what goes on behind the scenes but I bet they’ve had some headaches. So thank you to the organisers, can’t wait for the festival. 👍

  13. Anonymous says:

The reality is I’m sure RM tried to get many of the bands we asked for , Priest , Cooper, Bad Co, Schenker.. chances are too expensive for RM, what you have are cheap options and small venue artists , not a bad thing, but the Headliner must be of a certain quality to pull in people , Mot the hoople
is not that band , chances are more people will be interested in Blackberry Smoke or Halestorm than Mot, throw in the divide that Steel Panther will produce, things don’t look good, love RM festival , I truly fear this line up will be the death of it, hope I’m proven wrong though . 😒

  14. Anonymous says:

The last time I do an early bird….and I feel Ramblin Man will be no more after this :/ I’m sympathetic for the hassle the promoters have trying to secure bands that chop and change their minds, and I’m sure Ramblin Man HQ are as frustrated as anyone else, but most of these bands I can see at my local corn exchange for £10, and don’t have huge petrol/hotel/parking charges. Why spend time building up a niche audience of ‘older’ rock fans who want a more sedate festival over the years with class acts such as Allman/ZZTop/Tull/Focus/Whitesnake/Scorpions, and then expect that same audience to want to see Steel Panther…you’re sticking two fingers up to those that have been loyal to the festival. Accepting the fact that it’s £100 down the drain, and probably going to Love Supreme in Brighton to see Earth, Wind & Fire…

  15. Anonymous says:

Makes my super early bird tickets an absolute bargain ! You get Mott , the Cult , Govt Mule , Steve Earle , Blackberry Smoke , Cadillac 3 and many more for £110 ! That’s great value imho !!

  16. Anonymous says:

Such a shame, such good line ups previously and it seems as if you’re scraping the barrel now. I was hoping this would get bigger and better but apparently it’s going the other way. Bit of a let down tbh and a bit of a farce sorting it out this year as well. For the prices you charge this isn’t really justified….. Shame.

  17. Anonymous says:

Blackberry Smoke did it for me…plus the lineup for the blues tent is almost as good as last year when I played 😉

  18. Anonymous says:

I would urge any doubters to Motts rock pedigree to give them a go. Saw them a few times in the 70’s and they could bring the house down (The Rainbow literally). The reunion comeback a few years ago was still hard and heavy so great chance for the younger Rambler to enjoy a legendary live act.

  19. Anonymous says:

Given it’s a small festival and everyone seems to have had great experiences in past years, why don’t you just support the festival or else it may not return. I appreciate it costs a lot of money but if there were headliner issues isn’t it time to get behind the Ramblin Man team so they can put on another great festival next year? Everyone goes on about the Ramblin Man vibe so enjoy it. I’m sure you moaners will moan wherever you go. Personally I’ve had enough of Ramblin Moan, bring on Ramblin Man.

  20. Anonymous says:

See the backlash is in full swing, the negativity round this years festival is really odd, they are slated for not announcing bands, slated for not having enough classic rock on, slated when they do announce a classic rock act, slated for putting Steel Panther on, slated for not announcing all bands at once. Well looking at the line up thus far you have some great choices to make and its refreshing to see such out of the norm (not run of the mill acts) that most festivals churn out year after year. Where else can you get such a diverse “rock” line up. Steve Earle, Gov’t Mule, Blackberry Smoke, Cadillac Three, Fish, Sons of Apollo thats without the likes of Steel Panther and Mott The Hoople. Its not going to all be to your taste but You have classic, blues, country, americana, southern, prog, party. hard rock and there is still more to come. All I can say is if you bought early bird tickets you wanted to come because of the atmosphere and didn’t really mind who was on as you love live music (such as myself). if you haven’t bought tickets and don’t like the look – don’t buy tickets go to download, steakhouse, stone free (I will be there too!) etc. We will miss you but hey there queues for toilets and bar should be less 🙂 either way festivals are meant to be fun, so where ever you go or if you come to Ramblin Man put some joy back in your life and stop the moaning, grab a beer get out in the fresh air and enjoy the music and atmosphere!!!

  21. Anonymous says:

You’re having a laugh? Festival openers? Yeah sure, but headliners? and the way you dragged out announcing the acts….I’m glad I’m going to Stone Free Festival instead, how great would their line-up have been at RM? Last year on the Friday Saxon announced that they wanted to come back in 2019 and headline the Saturday, hopefully that’ll happen

  22. Anonymous says:

Adult Rock fans have broad palettes and well developed tastes. They can comfortably skip between rock, metal, blues, outlaw country and prog, classic or contemporary. As long as it’s the real deal. There’s not a band on the bill that doesn’t meet those criteria. I anticipate a weekend of great music and I think most folk’ll discover some cool new sounds.

  23. Anonymous says:

It simply isn’t Mott The Hoople without Pete, Mick, Buff and Verden.. 😢 it’s Ian playing Mott songs with Morgan and Luther.. and that’s not the same thing at all.. 🤔
