London Jazz Festival news: Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra – extra show

Latest update from London Jazz Festival

Not many people know that Jeff Goldblum plays a mean jazz piano, in addition to starring in Jurassic Park, Independence Day and The Fly, where he provides that uniquely wry, charming and unpredictable edge. In fact, he formed his band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra in LA (though they’re named after a Pittsburgh relative of his) and they play loose, improvised versions of jazz standards from Summertime to Stella By Starlight, which they’ve just recorded for Decca.

They’re pretty relaxed onstage – Jeff makes sure his musicians and the audience have a good time together – it’s taken them 20 years to get to London for this special Festival show just ahead of their debut album later this year, so don’t miss this special encounter.
